I have bought a new sound card and it has a rear output and I wanted to use it but I can not find the rear volume. Does XP have a rear slider?

I don't hink there is a rear volum control ,its for use with a 5.1 and all ive seen the back speakers have volum control on them ..i have sound blaster live ,with it set to 5.1 surround sound ,with 2 speakers and my head phones plugged into the back hole ,and the only control i can find is the control on my headphones
