There are some websites that I know exist, but when i try to go to them I get a fun little message saying "this document contains no data"

yea, i think some websites encode differently and mozilla gets a little confused, i could be wrong tho

Loads fine for me Mozilla 1.3.1 Never seen that error before though. Might seem silly but have you tried flushing you cache and history? aside from updating I cant think of anything else.
