Whenever i tried to open Internet Explorer it directs me to my Desktop Folder instead of opening IE browser
is this a virus?
any ideas?

ive changed the homepage but the desktop folder is still opening and there's an error
"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close"

try to reinstall internet explorer, by the way what version of IE do you use?

When you launch IE, does IE open wih the xonents of the desktop or does it minimize immediately and show you the desktop?
