how to extract audio from DVD?

it is a stupid question. i am a newbie. these days i wanna extact audio from my DVD. could anybody recommend me some software? much appreciated!

simplest way is to take a cable from the speaker port into the mic port and record

Even better a freeware product by the name of Audacity which you can get from www.download.com. If you want to save as an mp3, you will need to download the dll file (it will tell you which one when u first try to save as a mp3). This software doesnt require you to use your mic, it can get it straight off.

Use FlexiMusic Audio Editor for this, and edit audio as you need and choose the format that you want to save.
