Hello to all,
Am new to oracle sql, and I am using the developer to create new database. Unfortunately, when I try to create new connection and error appears saying that :
Status: failure –lo exception. The network adapter could not establish the connection.
Connection Name: NewDatabase
Username: test
Password: test
HostName: localhost
Port: 1521
SID: xe
Am using oracle sql developer 11g

I've created new Listener then created new database and then when am on developer and trying to create new connection the ORA 12505 error appears all the time.
any clues?
is the entry available in TNSNAMES.ORA ?
