How NOT to auto open Outlook!

I use Windows XP and many programs offer a "send via email" function
THis ALWAYS opens MSOutlook - which is NOT my defult nor preferred email
My preferred email is Googlemail via Mozilla Firefox

How can I get "email" to always open this?
By "email" I mean the auto-emails that currently open MSOutlook

Hi,
I can not offer you a solution to your problem, this is just my understanding of the situation. Windows will not recognize any email program in this type of command other than POP3 accounts. Therefore if you have an account with your service provider that is a POP3 account, you can change your default to that but you are unable to change to Google mail or Yahoo mail etc.

There may be some work around that someone here knows, but I have tried in the past and I have not found a solution other than to copy the address and then open my email account and paste the address there.
