hi,

could anyone recommend a free mysql query builder?

i have been working on a database and had some help with some small queries, however i need to create a large recordset through dreamweaver and wondered what tool i could use to generate my query visually?

Have a look at FlySpeed SQL Query. It has powerful visual query builder with full support of MySQL dialect and it's free if you don't need ability to export and print data.
