There is an acknowledged problem with the Samsung NC10 netbook and other of their netbooks. Mine was about 3 months out of warranty. Problem: Screen goes blank at higher brilliance levels. A user reported not be able to access the network. I moved their network cable to another jack and all was well. The 2 wall jacks in question were professional installed Cat 5E cabling, both are plugged into a switch but I can't ping or tracert anything on the network thru them. I applied a cable tester to each end and all the lights sequenced for both jacks. When I put a loopback plug on the user end, connect it to the jack, and then plug the other end of the cable into the switch it lights up. I've tried …

Symantec released a report comparing Mozilla Firefox vs. Windows Explorer, and found that Firefox had more security flaws, but Explorer's were more severe. The report also disclosed statistics on a number of other concerns involving Internet Security. Using data collected between January and June 2005, Mozilla's browsers suffered 25 vendor-confirmed bugs, and Internet Explorer had 13. 72 percent of Mozilla's bugs (18) were tagged as "high severity", and 8 of IE's bugs were tagged as high.
