What are the requirements to take the CCNA test? I've purchased the book and I'll be spending a large majority of my time studying independently. I'm wondering though, is taking a CCNA course a prerequisite to taking the test or is it just recommended? Thanks!

I was wondering if it's really necessary to have an SSL certificate and therefore https for a webshop (WordPress & WooCommerce) where payments will only be handled via external payment gateways (their bank and paypal). But they do store personal information, account and login from their customers on their own web server. Is it for this reason alone wise or even recommended to have an SSL certificate to have their website over https?

Hello Daniweb Community, Would there be a reason why [Google Chrome](https://www.google.com/chrome) is striking out a bunch of HTTPS websites? Even ones that used to be green but are now red and strike out.

Hi everybody! I´ve used jdk to generate my certificate with the following command: keytool -genkey -keyalg RSA -alias certificatekey -keystore keystore.jks -storepass password -validity 360 -keysize 2048 Everything works fine when I want to digitally sign an e-mail using: import javax.mail.* and import javax.mail.internet.* # and MimeMessage and Multipart. #. However with Apache Commons Email 1.1 creating an email such as the following: HtmlEmail email = new HtmlEmail(); email.setHostName("localhost"); email.addTo("test@mail.com", "Test"); email.setFrom("testapp@mail.com", "Test App"); email.setSubject("Test message"); email.setHtmlMsg("<div style='font-size: 20px; color: green;'>This is html email</div>"); email.attach(new ByteArrayDataSource(pdfBytes, "application/pdf"), "document.pdf", "Document description", EmailAttachment.ATTACHMENT); email.send(); Is it possible to digitally sign this e-mail …

Sometimes the browser will pop a certificate error message and oher times just a blank page not loading anything. The strange thing is that it …

Microsoft first started warning people that the there was going to be an important change to Windows' certificate requirements back in June. A change that is designed to improve security across the Windows platform by way of increasing the RSA key length to a minimum of 1024 bits for certificates used in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). That requirement change happens today, October 9th, but are you one of those people who, as Angela Gunn from Microsoft Security Response Center puts it, has "systems and applications that have been tucked away to collect dust and cobwebs because they 'still work' and …

Hi guys, I'm facing a weird problem with our Trustico Certificate. We have a webshop with customers that are logging in to make purchases of different products, all of this works nice untill the user changes his/her DATE on the Computer that he/she is using. If the date is changed on logout, the client is logged back in automatically with a specific user. Really cant find the problem behind this... <?php ini_set('session.cookie_domain', '.myDomain.com'); $cookie_name = 'authName'; $sessionName = session_name(); $sessionCookie = session_get_cookie_params(); session_destroy(); setcookie($sessionName, false, $sessionCookie['lifetime'], $sessionCookie['path'], $sessionCookie['domain'], $sessionCookie['secure']); if(isSet($_COOKIE[$cookie_name])) { setcookie ($cookie_name, 'xx=&xx=', 1,"/"); } $cookie_name = 'cookieName'; $sessionCookie …

Hi, I am working on client authentication(in a sample JSP application) using certificates. I have written a code to extract the client information from the client certificate. Now I wanted to use certificate's serial number to identify the particular use from the database. I extract the serial number using
<%= cert.getSerialNumber %>
. It gives me an output 3. Is this a integer, BigInteger or array value? Is there any way I can declare this as an another integer variable for example int a = (serial number value)?? I have not played much with jsp so I do not know exactly …

I'm currently working on a project where I need to Authenticate the Client using his/her certificate. I have created my own CA, Server and Client certificates and imported them into my browser. Then I wrote a JSP code just to read the certificate. That is the program returns the commonname, email, country, city and info I have in the certificate. But I need to write a code where I need to check whether the client has the certificate. If YES, then I must display "Welcome <>". If NO, then I must display "Get the Certificate". I have no idea how …
