When I try to power on, the cd and dvd flicker but no power on. I then turn it off and wait a while, try several times and it turns on. Power supply?

Hello all, I've been editing (dv express) on my PC and wanted to try to take out all my internal hard drives (about a terabyte) and put them in a different box...cooler with another power supply. Do they make specific towers for this? Will my editing be as smooth? :eek:
