Rather than introduce myself I prefer to first introduce my nameset ideas.

I am making digital machines using HTML and Javascript. They have cells that can move. Each cell contains a name representing a part of the real world of interest to the machine's owner.

I set one or two rules so that the names organise themselves into columns. I made these columns capable of sliding, so that the selected name always appears halfway up the screen. With a number of columns I can see the trial of my selections.

Each column represents a set of names associated with the previously selected name; the trail of selected names is another set - hence "namesets." Basically 3D data is handled in a 2D space tackling the major problems multi-sheet spreadsheets were intended to solve. So I am suggesting Information Technology should use machines rather than metaphors for paperwork.

There is more to it of course - this is just an introduction to see if anyone is interested in testing the hypothesis.

Thanks

Chris
