Businesses all over the world are trying to figure out how to make the most of their digital marketing campaigns. The rise of influencer marketing is quite significant, and many celebrities that charge hundreds of thousands of dollars per Instagram post. However, many companies are already interested in figuring out how to use augmented reality (AR) for their future marketing and advertising campaigns. While augmented reality might not be as prevalent as some have predicted, there are still powerful corporations interested in utilizing it to their advantage. Of course, this doesn’t mean that consumers will start purchasing products and/or services …

Ok this is a weird one and its been ongoing for many months, wondering if anyone has any ideas. We have 10-15 office 365 exchange email accounts and they all work perfectly fine apart from one account on one device. This particular account has intermittent issues with sending and emails just sit in the outbox. Some emails send up until a point and then it randomly stops. The machine has to be restarted and then they send immediatly upon opening outlook. The same email account is also being used on other laptops a mac and an iphone which are NOT …

Hello, I currently have a RedHat Linux version 6.4 running on a physical server (HP). However, recently it has started to show a failing disk problem, with some failures at software level as well like the terminal not opening properly, and while waiting for a new replacement disk to be made available, I would like to be able to backup a whole image of the server, and eventually run it on VirtualBox or VMWare should the disk fail completely. Any tool (free preferably) or manual steps which can be useful in my case? Thanks.

Hi everyone! i have Fedora 28 (with xfce) installed on my laptop. As Fedora 28 is now an old version, I'd like to know if there is a way to upgrade directly to Fedora 32, with no risk (I mean no data loss, in particular my /home dir).. Can you help me? In any case I've put an iso of Fedora 32 on a DVD, but I'm scared to try intsall it from the DVD and lose my most important data. What is your advice(s)? Thanks in advance dear fellows!

Earlier today, I was in need of an easy way to delete files that mached a specific format within a series of folders. For the case of this example, let's say all CSS files. I discovered I could do it with: find . -name '*.css' -delete The . represents the current folder and below. Unfortunately you can't use `rm -r` because it doesn't recursively check for file names matching a pattern.

Ok. This might be a little long winded but i will try to give as much information as possilbe. I started with Office 2003 and then tried the 2007 Student trial version. When it expired I could not get it to uninstall so I dealt with the annoying problem until my university got the Office Pro Plus 2007 Win 32 version for us students and installed it thinking it would fix the problem. It didn't. So I uninstalled 2007 and 2003, then used a registry cleaner to get rid of all of the old office entries that were dead and …

How can we use an mp3 song for a ringtone, we used to be able to use it on Windows 6.5, are we unable to find any details about it anywhere on Windows 7 mobile phones and there are no choices in the phone's music side to set it as a ringtone or settings?

Hi Guys. I knw what I want to achieve but not how to achieve it! Any hints would be gratefuly received, or, if it's not possible, tell me so I can stop trying. I have an internet connection -> router with NAT, DHCP etc -> LAN with all kinds of switches and WiFi access points all on the same subnet. I have a couple of TV devices that need to access the LAN and also access the internet via a VPN for access to the right countries. So I connected a VPN router to the LAN and the TV devices …

If the schools that my kids attend are anything to go by, it seems that high on Santa's list this Xmas just gone was an iTouch, iPhone or iPad depending how well off the parents were. That's understandable, they are just as attractive as gadgets for kids as they are to adults. But along with the never ending supply of free games, educational apps and the like comes the small problem of unfettered access to the Internet and all that brings with it. While adults may well have the family PC protected by parental control software to filter unsuitable content …

I started using Cloudflare yesterday, and I must say, I'm incredibly impressed with them. They have a pretty well-rounded featureset that goes above and beyond just being a static CDN.

We had a bug a little while back where we were accessing an old database for the GeoIP API. That meant that, for users whose geolocation were mapped from their IP address, it was incorrect/unknown for IP subnets not in the database. Now, 1-2 years later, can we go back and retroactively retrieve the correct location for each of those IP addresses with a more updated database? Or, is it possible, for example, that ISPs may recycle IP addresses across different cities/states?

Rename any folder with extension {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} e.g., if we have a folder games press F2, then type, "games.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}" see the magic.... then to get to original form, remove the extension using "ren games.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} games" in dos or as a bat file and you are done.. But the folder can be deleted. ~cheers~ :)

So apparently Microsoft Word’s latest release shows a grammar error if you do two spaces after a period, this ending the debate of which is correct. I used to do two spaces after a period back on my old Apple IIGS with its mono spaces font. However, I’ve always said that since the world of kerning has existed in word processor apps, just add a single space and the software will give it the proper amount of spacing after a period before the next sentence begins.

According to research from data recovery specialists Kroll Ontrack, some three quarters of those workers that had lost data on a broken device didn't attempt to ensure that information was irretrievable before disposing of the hardware. ![dwebdatarip](/attachments/large/0/dwebdatarip.jpg "dwebdatarip") It doesn't matter whether the hardware itself is a PC or laptop, removable drive, tablet or smartphone, the ugly truth remains that most people simply assume that if the device is dead then the data has died along with it. Actually, data lost through software corruption or hardware failure is more often than not recoverable - at least partially. The study revealed …

I want to see your suggestions on comparing CPanel and FASTPANEL. I used CPanel for some time but later I changed to FASTPANEL which is absolutely free but provides you with the same opportunities. Also FASTPANEL's design looks much better than CPANEL's one. So now I can't understand why people pay for CPanel. What panel do you guys use and why?

In the modern world, it’s easy to understand that data is absolutely essential to many corporations and organizations. There is an ever-growing need to understand the needs and desires of your customer base, so that you may tailor your products/services/platform as much as possible to meet these particular needs. However, we also are coming to a point where human beings are beginning to realize that the way that their data is being used can be quite harmful. One of the most obvious examples is the [Facebook-Cambridge Analytica scandal](https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/19/technology/facebook-cambridge-analytica-explained.html), in which data from Facebook’s user base was used to influence a …

In an earlier Discussion post, I complained about MS changing my preference settings with each update. Since, I have found many more changes. One was, I had gone to CMD Properties and set CMD to always open with elevated privileges. You guesses it. It was switched back. With the 1909 Cumulative Update we lost our ability to search within folders. After trying eleven 'fixes' touted on the Internet, I had to uninstall these latest updates to get my search option back. I do wish MS would spend more time correcting errors such as this rather than on inventing witty and …

A survey of attendees at Infosecurity Europe earlier this month showed 70 percent in favour of the dictionary definition (in this case the Cambridge Dictionary) of a hacker being amended. The amendment in question being to remove 'illegality' from the definition. The current definition of a hacker is "a person who is skilled in the use of computer systems, often one who illegally obtains access to private computer systems". So what do you reckon, DaniWebbers? Is it time that hacker was reclaimed entirely (rather than relying upon black and white labels) and if so what word should replace it as …

My toshiba laptop screen suddenly turned black, but if looking closely you can still barely see what is on the screen, like the screen saver turned it self on, but I restarted my computer many times and it loads up but still no results. I had this problem about 4 months ago, so i called toshiba helpline and they were very helpful and gave me instructions while on the phone. The guy on the phone told me to shut down the system, unplug it, take the battery out and press ON button for 20 seconds, then realise the finger and wait …

I am running Windows 10 64 bit on an HP Compaq 8200 Elite Small Form Factor with 8 GB RAM. I just learned the max RAM for this computer is 32GB. Though the computer runs fine as is, I've given some thought to upgrading the RAM. As I do not do any gaming and use the computer in just an 'ordinary' fashion, I'm wondering how much RAM would be overkill. For example, would I see more speed and general overall operating improvement at 16 GB? And even more at 32GB or no? Thanks

So my new Asus UX305 has just arrived. I charged the battery till full and I'm now using the laptop. I'm planning to switch it off very soon, and then it occurred to me, do I have to break in the battery, or can I just use it as normal (meaning use it till it reaches 40-50% and then plug it in?). Just to clarify, by "break in" they mean like run a full discharge and then recharge cycle at least 3-4 times I looked up on the net about breaking in the battery but there isn't too much from …

My boyfriend got me an Oculus Quest as an early birthday gift, and while I love it, he loves it wayyyyy more. Does anyone have any game recommendations? Unfortunately, the Oculus Quest does not share a marketplace with the Oculus Rift, and since the Quest has only been out since the summer, there isn't nearly as big of a directory yet compared to the Rift which has been growing its marketplace for years.

Soooo I unfortunately had to close my coworking space, DaniPad, for who knows how long. #coronavirus With no income, I want to temporarily suspend the $600/mo we are paying for business-class Verizon Fios. The online portal says you have to call on the phone to make these kinds of account changes. The phone has a recording that says that, due to the pandemic, no one is staffing the phone lines for account changes. I can't afford this!
