No, no, you're misunderstanding me.

I didnt click the ipad link, but the fact that my IM is sending such messages would certainly suggest there is a problem is there not?

Im talking about what caused the message to be sent in the first place.

And I was under the impression that having the hijack this log was a good way for people to help, if there was a danger of it messing up my computer I dont see why ANYBODY would ever want to try it....

I told you what was happening, I clicked a suspicious link online by accident, my AIM instantly started sending out AIM messages with bogus links. Then I couldnt get AOL.com to let me load my email page, and wasnt sure or not if that was a result of the same trojan, now I am wondering if there is a problem or whether it is gone, or WHAT

IS this possible?

I hit one of those weird sites by accident...the ones that have weird symbols in the link or whatever...

Im on my own contact list, so when I Hit it I instantly got an IM from myself saying to click some link for a free ipad or whatever, from my own AIM address, clearly it sent to all the people on my friends list.

Somebody suggested changing my AIM password so I tried but anytime I go to a site off of AOL, such as trying to log into my mail or change my account information, and password, it goes to the AOL oops this page is unavailable page. I can log onto AOL through AOL instead of internet explorer but to change the password it still links to the website I cant access...could this be because of the trojan?

I ran ad-aware, AVG, AND spybot, all in safe mode, hoping it would delete stuff...it got a couple tracking cookies but nothing major, but I still deleted everything they told me to on the programs.

Im hoping the AOL problem is completely unrelated...oh, also my laptop cant get to the websites either...does that mean its not a trojan? Or that it is and it is attached to my ip address or something...I dont even know.

what do I do from here?
