Folks,

I'm getting the following error message from Trados Studio 2009, a computer-aided translation program.

"QuickInserts will not be available. Failed to create Framework 1 plug-in filter components. Failed to create Java Virtual Machine."

Some Googling suggests that the problem might be caused by not allocating enough memory to Java.

Question: how do I increase the Java allocation?

I have a Java control panel, which is of no help.
I do not have the Java plug-in control panel, so I don't know whether that would help.

I guess I'd prefer a global solution, rather than one that applies to only one program.
