I am trying to figure out where is Java and C# mostly used? I read that enterprises favors Java and JEE, but they don't say anything about JSE. I also read that C# is being used a lot, especially on Windows platforms. But the question remains, what do enterprises use JEE for? Websites? Webservers? GUI Applications to make life easier for clients? What does companies use C# for? Same stuff as java but just on Windows? I am not a big fan of web development but it looks to mee that most companies hire Java and C# programmers for web dev, or is it just me?
I want to know these things because I want to learn the skills needed so that I can get a job in either C# or Java. What skills does a C#, Java developer need?
