We're now told that class 5 driverless vehicles are really the only way we'll ever see them in mainstream use and that it is a not too distant future - with all that it entails, some aspects of technology will be hauled up to spec and things will inevitably look dated, possibly even drones and maybe driverless cars themselves will be bypassed in favour of flying driverless transport..., who knows... So my question, what should stretch the limits of what is currently known by anyone, is about a concept I penned a good few years ago now, easily leaning on …

The full title: "Why daniweb attracts only newbies with no interest to stay in programming and what can be done to keep the others as well ? " Over few past years now (six my profile says) I love daniweb because it is a polite and civilized place to be (especially in times that I am programming alone , you shouldn't never be alone in programming in my point of view , the interaction is what makes us better and opens our horizons) . I have wrote my objections about the new “design” but this isn't the main problem , …

I saw this segment and I wasn't sure if I was excited or scared... but my feelings were urging more towards fear. I just do not know if it's a good idea to start microchipping people for better intelligence. Especially our children. Are we slowly turning ourselves in robots? As computer geeks with a pulse on modern technology, I wanted to hear your opinion on the way future is heading. Thoughts? Here is video:[Click Here](http://bit.ly/17lz3LO)

Sorry if this is the wrong place or something, but I saw a question in here on PHP vs ASP.NET, which made me think it might be. On the other hand, I also saw posts asking about people's breakfast, so I don't really know... Users are already starting to embrace web applications such as Google Docs over their desktop counterparts. From a coding perspective, it seems like many languages are shifting gears to be more web-oriented. For instance, Java has embraced JavaFx, which seems more of a web-app library than swing was/is. Even more, it uses CSS for styling. There …

In other threads I read that Delphi is not prepared, as a net for today, but the comparison was made on VCL in Delphi 7. Actually, the latest version of Delphi and its library is XE3 is FireMonkey I had seen the comparisons between C # and Delphi. I try to use Microsoft tools: C # and. NET, but I do not find the same enthusiasm. Beyond the comparative contributions must join to allow most decide on a development environment or another. I am looking for a reasonably priced computer for sale (to build). I built one last year but pretty much returned everything in the end / tiger shipped half my items doa, short story short, I switched to newegg. I have been watching the new am3+ with amd's 8-core cpu but I am not sure what I want myself and need advice. Their new APUs look cool with the on-board video but does it actually preform just as well as the card would? And when I order a video card in the future will it automatically do crossfire with it …

Just like java applets seem to have had their day... is flash going the same way (no support on the ipad?) Is this a concern for designers who use flash. I use flash actionscript 3.0 occasionally. What are your thoughts?

The six minute video clip is a bit hoaky (particularly Schmidt's attempts at humor) but there are some interesting takeaways from this interview, like:

figuring out how to rank real-time info is "the great challenge of the age."
broadband will be comfortably faster than 100MB (at least for the Western world).
distribution distinctions between TV, Radio and the web will go away.
Today's teenagers, who seamlessly jump from app to app, are a model of how the web will work 5 years from now.
Content will move more towards video (no surprise here really)
Here's more from the …
