Ladies and Gents, I would appreciate your help solving a problem with an XP laptop I have been asked to clean up. It was riddled with Malware and Spyware including various fake scanners asking the user to upgrade to pro. I have been running malwarebytes and avg 2011 on it, which has shifted all but the redirect issue. I have followed the instructions on posting and have the various scan logs to show you. I was not able to download one of them as the bleepingcomputer website where the file is located is down. I would be very grateful for …

Hello guys :) hope you're all doing well, cause I'm freaking out at the moment :'( I have a network of 3 computers (2 windows, 1 macbook) I usually use my iPad and iPhone on the wireless network too (what I'm describing below is happening on all the devices i wrote above) everything works great actually, but what's freaking me out is that I've been getting strange "Light window" like popups inside my browser, that say "You are connected to optimum wifi" actually, I'm not using Optimum wifi, and I'm in Egypt right now (Optimum doesn't even exist here !:D) …

I'm running XP with service pack 3 and IE8. IE would open multiple time with ads from various sources. For 2 days I ran all the good stuff and was convinced I had a rootkit. I ran all the programs from safe mode with no results. At one point Abode Reader opened by itself, it was the second time that happened, and I immediately removed Reader8 as I was aware of problems with vulnerabilities. One of my fixes was to uninstall IE8 and now run IE7 and have not had a problem since. IT'S ONLY BEEN ABOUT 5 HRS. SO …

Hello Yesterday I downloaded this: Infected Executable File Removed. My Panda antivirus didn't see anything wrong with it, but it is some sort of spyware or trojan. Since I ran it last night, my IE opens up sometimes with an IQ test page '=) Today I ran a quick scan with Windows Defender and it found a Win32/Renos.MQ (more info here -> http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Threat/Encyclopedia/Entry.aspx?name=TrojanDownloader:Win32/Renos.MQ&threatid=152583) It gave me the option to remove it, so I did. It took several minutes... And, how lovely, while it was doing it, my antivirus said "Virus neutralized!" and when I checked it, xxxxxxxx which was INSIDE …

First of all, I sincerely hope I have posted this in the appropriate forum. I did read the rules and am doing my best to follow them. I found this website years back when my browser was being redirected to go.google.com and here I found help in removing "unwanted" files, etc. that would cause problems with the performance of my pc. I have had my hard drive completely stripped and everything reinstalled a few times before, to the point that I now the capabilities of my computer when it comes to it's speed in all areas (windows, browser, programs, etc.) …

Hi guys. Recently I had face an interesting issue when trying on Hijacking Event on an Element here is what I've got: So if you want to Hijack an Event first you have to check that event-handler has been set for that particular element or not rite ? ( you can't hijack if it has nothing there) so here is the piece of code :
function HijackEvent (aEl, aEvent, aFn) { for (var i in aEl) { if ((""+i) == aEvent) { if (typeof(aEl[i]) != undefined && aEl[i] != null) //this things was add cuz all the onXXXX properties on …
