You may want to try and find Leopard discs on eBay that are specific to your iMac G5 or instead, just search for a retail copy of Mac OS X Leopard on eBay; I'd recommend you only buy from trusted eBay members with good trader feedback. This will let you select any iTunes database you want. Go to your time machine and replace (keep the old one for now) your music folder. Do the above and all should sync properly. Just go time machine and replace your database. Time machine will prompt you whether you want to keep the old one or both. Choose keep both. The rest you can follow macmad suggestion.
