Hello, is it possible to create a website that can **receive a command/word from the user**, and then **search other websites **for a file associated with that word? The file it provides would be based on selecting the file based on a set of **pre-defined criteria**. So the site would have to perform scanning/selecting actions in the background while outputting simply the file result to the user. Can a site perform these background operations such as scanning other sites then selecting a file? I’m very new but eager to learn and excited to read your replies, thank you.

Hello everyone. I'm working on a program which should edit a text file by adding/deleting some specific lines. By default this text file doesn't have these specific lines, so the program will add them. But I also want it to replace them if they're already in the text file. Basically this is my idea: - Read the text file - Search the specific lines - If they exist then replace them - Else add them I pretty much know how to read a text file, how to search for specific lines, how to replace them and how to add them, …

I have written the following program. It collects inventory information and stores it in a file. I need to write a separate program that will access that file and give me the totals of the information stored in it ie. (quantity,wholesalecost,retailcost). What I'm specifically having trouble with is how to read out the information in file and store it in to a local variable? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, -D
#include <iostream> #include <fstream> #include <cctype> #include <string> using namespace std; const int DESC_SIZE = 31; // Description size // Declaration of InventoryItem structure struct InventoryItem { char …

I need within main to have the account balance from my class to be allowed to change value through "transactions" adding negative numbers for a withdraw and positive numbers to put in a deposit within the accounts balance. I want to do this an unlimited amount of times and I cannot seem to get the loop for it to work correctly. Here is my code: The problem happens near the bottom. I have been thinking about order operations and generalized * in Python recently. I want to share some of my thinking here, even the topic is quite theoretical, considering the beauty and orthogonality of the language. Point one You can do comparison with tuples of numbers in Python
>>> (0,0)<(1,1)<(2,2) True >>> (0,0)<(1,1)<(2,0) True >>>
First is fine for me, but I am not agreeing with the second one. Why? If a<b<c, then number b is between a and c in the number line. (x,y) is point in two dimensional plane. For me the natural extension of < is …
