Hi techies, I am new to webservices. The issue is regarding a SOAP request. The request contains a comment which has the charechter as "&" example., the comment is: You & me & is getting converted to "&" in the receiver side. We tried getting the SOAP request (from our side) replaced the "&" to & in the comment and sent the request to other side But still we get the "&" in the other side. Is there any way to solve the same. Will be happy if I can get some good solution. thanks.

Here is a simple code: printf("Special character: 'ñ'"); Were the output was `±` I found that those characters are printed as ascii but they were encoded in Utf8. Hi, I'm having problems with special characters not showing on the webpage I'm working on. It doesn't seem to want to work no matter what I try. Hi Everyone, I am currently working on a site that will have lots of European and Middle-Eastern town names that include accented and other special characters. I have never had to deal with these characters before and I foolishly assumed that setting everything to utf-8 would take care of it all for me but I have been pulling my hair out over this for a few hours now and I am hoping that someone here can help me out. I am calling a web service from GeoNames.org with grid coordinates as arguments. The result is returned in JSON format which …

When Microsoft was developing Windows Vista (and they continued this in Windows 7) they decided to add a security feature to the Program Files directories. This feature is that all the directories are read only. The idea behind this is to prevent malicious software from overwriting your exe/dll files. This, of course, brings up the problem: Where do I put my application specific files that are created at runtime. This tutorial will answer that question! One thing you will notice with Windows is that there are a lot of special folders (My Documents, Desktop, My Music, My Pictures, etc.) and …

Hello again! I need your help again, people! =) So here's my problem: This line replaces only the first "\n" spec. character in my textarea, and this way everything's screwed up... I'm sending the replaced content of the textarea through AJAX to the server, in a GET method. I've tried to just comment out this line to see whether this is necesarry, but then no "\n" is transferred at all... I'm using a PHP server side, and that works. Code:
var content=document.getElementById("editor").value; content=content.replace("\n", "%nline!");
Or maybe should I split up the value of the textarea by "\n", and GET it …
