Really Simple Syndication - is a web feed formats used to publish frequently updated work like blogs meta, news headlines,and many more things in a standardized format.

RSS document is an XML document so you may read or manipulate with any standard xml parser - DOM, SAX ,etc.

Try Pear library XML RSS.
