Shawshank didn't do anything for me. I'll go as far as saying that I didn't like it.

Sidney Poitier had made numerous films that were not only inspirational, but his personal
achievements in a very prejudiced field is inspirational also. Films of his I would recommend would be his roles as Det. Virgil Tibbs in, "In the Heat of the Night", "They call me MISTER Tibbs", and "The Organisation".

He's made manymore very good films, but those I've mentioned are personal favourites.
