After this, restart the computer and post back here. I see a possibliity of a SpyAxe infection, but I only see 1 component for it. We'll fix that only if ya still are having problems.

Which leads to yet another question: What exactly are the problems?
If you can give us some idea of what troubles/symptoms you're experiencing, that would help. While HJT is a great tool for finding certain problems, it is by no means a comprehensive diagnostic (nor is it meant to be).

Ok thank you again in advance for your help. I have two items in the sys tray, one that has a balloon that says system alert: Popups OHPE ver 4.12_23. and the other that just says virus alert and pops up with a red baloon. the other problem that i noticed is that my internet explorer will only come up with about. blank. It will not store my home page at all. After reading your post I attempted the fix in hjt and it would not fix the O2 BHO no name one that you said to fix. Thanks Dan

You have a memeber of the Smitfraud family in there ;). That is most likley the baloon pop-ups.

Please download SmitfraudFix from http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.php

NOTE: This tool will not work on 98/ME systems. Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by rebooting the computer, and repeatedly tapping the F8 key as the pc starts. Choose "Safe Mode" from the options listed.

Once in Safe Mode, open the SmitfraudFix folder again and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd

Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected
files.

You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the
registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to
replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press
"Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.

Please post a new log, also does that take care of the balloons?
