When I synced on iTunes all my contacts were lost. Favorites became just numbers with no names. What happened? If any way to transfer my iPhone contacts to computer without itunes? Thanks in advance.

Some works, the rest is gray/locked. Tried Manual sync, isn't working, keeps messing up. Now I can't even sync at all. Apply button in gone on iTunes so is sync.
