Hi, I am in the process of grabbing information from a mysql database. I need to just grab the date that was imported from the xml sheet. Is there any commands that can just grab information listed below:

...<expiration-date>2040-12-1</expiration-date>...

This is located in between all the other information from the xml document. I just need to pull the "2040-12-1"

Reason: Building a shell script for an auto update.

Is there anyone out there that can help?

I've been reading and I cannot find a command that will pull data without it being in a table.
