I hear that to create a custom icon for your exe file, and must create a .ico icon, then link it to a resource file, which is linked to the main .exe file.
I'm not sure how to do this though. I have my icon I want to use for my win API .exe file, I just dont understand any of this .rc stuff.

I can't remember exactly how to declare an icon file in the resource file, but if you're using Visual Studio I THINK you can right click on the .rc file in the solution explorer and add resource (your icon).
