As to the official boost regex syntax guide which is a dead link by the way http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_44_0/libs/regex/syntax.htm where are these tutorials you speak about?

It's not my fault you can't navigate Boost's web site. I have no trouble reaching the documentation page.
