simple wav player

I want a c++ code to : play a segment of awave between two times entered by the user.
for ex :to play a wave between 4 and 100 seconds.

i searched alot and all what i found was about how to play and stop a wav
but i need a function to play a specific segment in this wav
i didn't found any thing about this

You could try muting the wav, the skiping to part by playing it without sound, then put the sound on and play it, that might take to long, you could try speeding up the wav....
