i need help with xslt .. i need to figure out start and end date by looking at a specific post date

if DAY of the post date is between [1 - 15] then go back one month and for day use 15 - 31
if DAY of the post date is between [15 - 30] then and for and use 1 -15 of the current month

example.. if day is JAN 02 2011 then two dates will be 12 / 15 / 2010 - 12/30/2010
id day is JAN 20 2011 then 01/ 01/2011 and 01 / 15 /2011
