You don't mention what language you are using for your site, but you might want to look into Joomla if you are willing to consider something PHP-based. It has a ton of modules available, including chat and forums.

You have not said your requirements. Do you want to chat with your customers or you want your customers to chat each other. I assume you want the first one. For that you can go to www.meebo.com, create your account, and put the javascript on your site. By implementing meebo's code implemented in your site, you will be able to chat 1-to-1 with your customers. However, you may require to know how to do copy paste. Wish you good luck!
