root.left.code = root.code + "0";
public Node code;

the variable code is of type Node, and you try to concatenate a String with it!
Maybe the variable code should not be a Node?

oh yes

I change the type to string and that error is corrected
Thanx..

but still another error come:

start : applet not initilized
I serach and found that there should be methods init() and start()

but where I have to insert them in my code??

could you help please..
Thank you JamesCherrill once again ..
