Hey everyone, I'm using sessions in my application which retrieves the questions and answers asked by users. The tricky part here is how I can know how to allow users that they can edit and delete their own posts. As far as it is concerned, I have got this idea down. If session is registered, then show users the edit and delete control buttons. But this means that they can delete and edit other people posts as well which I'm trying to prevent.

I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, but here goes. I'm running a home server from an old (not too old) PC, and have a cooling question as the title insists. It might seem stupid, but my question is, can I put my PC by my air vent so it can intake cool air to keep the CPU at a low temperature; I'm asking since the home server is going to be on most of the day. Thanks in advance, sorry if it's a stupid question, ~Asian EdiT:Also, would putting it by the A/C vent damage the …

Ok I was watching a you tube video and this guy had completely remade the portal still alive console thing and he had all the code posted on his site. Now of course the only problem with that is that i don't know what to do with it because it is in assembly. So if someone would be kind enough to help me i would be ever so grateful. and the link to the site with the files is here. http://kaput.retroarchive.org/downloads/

I want to make a smarter child program. Smarter Child incase you don't know was an aim bot that was designed for kids. It was extremely abused but it had pretty good AI and comprehension of what your type. I don't really know how on this. I would probably be a C# console application because an interface isn't necessary. I was thinking i could have multiple word banks (lists) that held different things. For example if the user typed in "Hello" it would belong to the Greetings word bank and the program would respond with a response from another word …

Ubuntu has redeemed itself with its latest version 9.10 (Karmic Koala). I took a look at Ubuntu 9.10 on October 1st and have been playing around with it for a few days. My first impression is that it is good stuff--seriously good stuff. From the new, updated installer to the faster boot times, I'm impressed. Way to go Ubuntu developers, you deserve applause for this one. I didn't think that Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) was all that great. There weren't enough improvements over 8.10 to justify a whole new distribution or wasting a cute name on it. Karmic Koala's installer …
