##How to set up file synchronization using BitTorrent Sync (part 1) There are a number of services that offer file sharing/syncing via the "cloud". The free versions come with limitations on file size. As well, DropBox suffers from security issues in that encryption is done at the server meaning that any files you upload can be made available to the authorities by court order. SpiderOak encryption is done at the client which is more secure, but again, storage space is limited. In all cases, you are dependent on the availability of a server over which you have no control. You …

Someone just notified me that a new free online space provider has launched, called Copy. If you know Dropbox: it's pretty much similar to that for as far as I can see now, only here you get a starting **15GB** for free (instead of 2? at Dropbox). They now have a temporary? launch action: for each person you redirect to Copy that then registers himself, both you *and* the one registering get 5GB of extra space. So therefore my idea: if anyone is interested in registering, register, then copy your share-link to this thread, and the next person who is …

I think it would be great if everyone how has programming exercises (also me) would share some exercises. It will be very helpful for the next generations. It was also a hard problem for me earlier to find some great exercises. So I have made a Dropbox shared folder for this purpose. If you want to join and share some files, please write me your e-mail address by PM. Thanks in advance!

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone can point me to the best file/cloud solution/service out there at the minute? We are a medium sized company spread out in to 15 - 20 locations and are looking to share press images/photos and maybe even some documents or video in a central server, ideally with 2 levels of user, super admin who can see and edit everything and admins who can upload new pictures for their own individual facility. Dropbox would be ok - but it seems expensive if we were to add the individual users needed for each shared folder. …

I decided to look at Dropbox, a tool that provides a way to share files on the iPad (and elsewhere) via the Cloud. Although the app lets you share files across many devices, this review is going to concentrate on how you deal …

I have installed a variety of programs onto my machine, and I can run them in terminal i.e. python, python3, vim.... However they do not show up in the Applications drop menu in the top left corner. I am using yum install... to install the programs. Am I missing a step or should I be going about this differently? Thanks
