Hi All, had a bit of time to myself and started reading some poetry (out of choice!). This was prompted by the centenary of one of our greatest poets (in English anyway), Dylan Thomas. Hadn't read "Do not go Gentle into that Good Night" since I was in school. Reading it again bent me into a few shapes. I've been reading the old love classics by Donne and O'Reilly ("A White Rose"), but chasing poetry on the internet leaves me cold. Does anybody have any particular favourites?

I just thought of an idea as I started this message, honest to God. I have a poetry website that I just thought of doing something very personal with it. I am going to dedicate it to the memory of Elvis Presley. I am nuts over his singing. I could have done this years ago and it never dawned on me. That will make my site very personal to me, which as a motivation factor, keeps my connection with Elvis alive. Now I'm wondering if my going on this forum had anything to do with the idea. I was on another site talking about when I used to work with explosives on a seismograph crew and stole just a little of the 'goop' (I wanna say blasting powder but it was more like clay with seeds in it) from each of the 5 lb logs while I was setting them up to drop into the hole we had just drilled. This was back in the '60s when I was just out of high school - I was such a bonehead. But I remembered that I always wanted to end a post with the word mayonnaise
