Have you guys seen the new design of youtube... it looks nice but the format is kind of akward on why the positioned it to the very left side of the page...
Why do you think they did that? Probably for mobile?

They switched to a responsive layout, which makes it easier for them to cater for users with any screen size.
I think it looks great, definitely a big improvement.
