I erroneously uploaded an image to this thread: http://www.daniweb.com/web-development/php/threads/446683/database-forms-how-to-protect-with-magic-quotes

I deleted the markdown in the post, which cleared the image from the post body, but it still has the image in an 'attachment box'. Is this expected?

It's no longer embedded in the post, but the file is still attached. You can remove it entirely through the same process that you added it:

  1. Edit the post
  2. Click the Files button
  3. Click the 'Delete' link next to the attached image (where the embed buttons are)
Jump to Post

Steps to fix this:

  1. Edit the post
  2. Click the Files button in the editor toolbar, the same way you did to upload the file
  3. Click the Delete link next to the attachment you wish to remove

Ah! Great. That was bugging the hell out of me. Thanks both.

Haha we both typed almost identical instructions at the same time!
