That's currently by design only because I haven't yet found a workaround I'm happy with. There have been some situations where I don't want the middle of a word to break if it gets too long, and there have been some other situations where I do.

iamthwee you can make a shorthand of the original link from google, like this:

www.google.co.uk/search?q=what+to+search

so that you can avoid having a long google link. Also, words are split by '+'.

Or you can give the link anchor text like this :) Just use the Link button in the editor toolbar.
