A little bit about myself....
- been around the tech area since 85, the start of microcomputers :zzz:
- first career programming learned was Clipper (Summer 87 - 5.2e)
- developed in-house application, using Clipper, with team
- after application was developed spent most of the time maintaining and adding routines
- left software development for about 4 years
- came back to it about 2 years ago... by then part of the legacy app was re-written in VB6
- relatively new to VB6 and the whole windows development thing but like it :cool:
- now maintaining/supporting legacy apps in Clipper and VB6 :S
- writing some new apps in VB6 and hope to eventually re-write legacy apps in VB6... or VB.Net
- the road ahead will be challenging... Vista will be rolled out to the desktop and these legacy apps have to run on Vista :sweat:
