Hello Daniweb Community,
Would there be a reason why Google Chrome is striking out a bunch of HTTPS websites? Even ones that used to be green but are now red and strike out.

Perhaps, by coincidence, all of their certificates have expired. Does Chrome tell you why it's red-ified "https"?

Hm, no... I get the green padlock; identity verified by COMODO. It also reports that the certificate's encryption is obsolete (TLS 1.0), but that didn't register as bad enough for the red pen.

Could it have something to do with my virus scanner? because I'm currently using Bitdefender and mine says "The identity of this website has been verified by Bitdefender Personal CA.Net-Defender but does not have public audit records."

Could be dependnt on quite some things .. even Man In the Middle attack. The red thing basically says this identity with the provided public key associated with it could not be verified or does not have public audic records. I've neve heard of Bitdefender, I would advice you to try Avast or AVG
Not even sure if that is a legitamate antivirus really or if it is you could have also downloaded an infected binary executable ... really many posibilities

Thanks everyone, I think it was the virus scanner I was using because I've got AVG installed now and the same website with the https strike out is now green and saying "The identity of this website has been verified by AVG Technologies but does not have public audit records."
