Hi, this morning I noticed that my internet was barely working. Internet pages would load forever and mIRC kept disconnecting. Tried restarting my modem and the router, but that didn't make any difference. Then I called the ISP technical support service, the guy ran a packet test and he said that 62% of the packets get lost. So he couldn't help me much and scheduled a technician to come to my house.... I don't think he will help much either, because after talking with support service I checked 'netstat' in cmd and discovered something very weird. Bunch of connections from www.007guard.com , here's a shot of it:

I scanned my computer with Spybot - Search & Destroy, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and it didn't find anything wrong. But after half a day later my internet started working again, but I still have bunch of www.007guard.com connections... Here is the hijackthis log:

Please, can anyone help me???

Sorry we seemed to have overlooked you. Did you add those trusted sites?
One thing to do is turn off that Spybot TeaTimer as it will interfere when you try to do fixes.
Open the program, choose Advanced Mode, Tools, Resident and take the check mark out of TeaTimer.
Also please update Malwarebytes, your anti-virus program and also your Spybot too.
Then reboot to Safe Mode. First run Spybot and fix all found, then run your anti-virus and do the same. Then run Malwarebytes' and do the same and save the log.
Reboot to normal mode and run a new HJT scan. Post back here with the MBA-M log and the new HJT log. If your anti-virus or Spybot found anything please get the names and locations for those too.
Sorry again about the delay.
Judy

And no, I'm not familiar with The Planet Internet Services :-/

You didn't answer my questions.

Your www.007GUARD.COM is registered as The Planet Internet Services, Inc.
Ottawa, ON K1M 2H9 CA.
Is this familiar to you?

Did you add those trusted sites?

The three listed in your trusted sites are registered to;
Micro-Star Int'l Co., Ltd.
Jung-He City,Taipei Hsien,Taiwan,R.O.C.
Where are you located?

If i added those trusted sites? No, I didn't add any trusted sites, not sure how to do that.

Micro-Star Int'l Co., Ltd. is MSI, gets me updates for my motherboard, etc... and I believe MSI is from Taiwan.
I am located in New York.

If you personally didn't add those trusted sites then they shouldn't be there. As long as you know where the updates come from then you can easily go back there without having these sites listed in the Trusted Zone. There is no reason for them to be there, especially since you did not personally put them there.
Run HJT again and place check marks next to those three entries once you have placed the check marks then click the Fix Checked button.
Exit HJT.
Reboot the computer and see how things are working.
One other suggestion, in your first post you said

Tried restarting my modem and the router, but that didn't make any difference.

Can you connect directly to the internet without using the router? Try this and see if it makes a difference too.
Judy

Ok, I removed those 3 links from trusted zone and restarted the computer. Also unplugged the router and ran straight wire to pc from modem. Nothing changed, still getting bunch of those 007guard.com links :(

Frankly I am stumped here. I see nothing in your logs indicating infections. Do you know the exact date all this began?
On 11-12 I see the TDK program installed. I see IP drivers also.
It could be possible that your Winsock2 is damaged or corrupted.
Check out this page;
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811259
I have checked this The Planet Internet Services. It IS a legitmate company. It is an IT host and server company. Is it possible that this company is the server for your internet provider?
Did you discover these listings AFTER you spoke with your ISP provider or before? Did you mention these to the ISP Tech?
Do you do P2P file sharing? With the default security settings there is a limit the use of your PC to 10 connection attempts per second. Some P2P can attempt to connect to many more than this and therefore will definitely slow things down.

One thing to check is the Event Viewer, System - look for TCP/IP Warnings saying: "TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts.
Check there and see if you see any of these warnings.

TDK is my bluetooth dongle, I had to reinstall it. My winsock2 seems fine, did those steps on microsoft page and didn't have any symptons of Winsock2 corruption. My ISP is Optimum Online, I never seen those www.007guard.com links in my netstat before. Didn't mention about them to ISP Tech because I only discovered them after speaking to him.
Yes I use a torrent program called uTorrent. I changed my max TCP connection from 10 to 50 so more connections would be made with peers and download faster. I had this for a very long time and never experienced any side effects. And when I run netstat my uTorrent is off.

I really think you should check with your ISP again and note these links to them. Maybe this could give them an idea of what may be happening.
I am really sorry I don't know what else to have you try.
Did you check your Event Viewer? Did that scheduled tech ever come to your house?

Yes, I check the event viewer, nothing with ""TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts". Here's a shot:

I canceled the appointment with tech guy because the internet now works fine and all he was going to do was check the wiring and etc... Now I'm going to call them again and mention the www.007guard.com :S

Ok, so I called them again. They ran a packet test, checked some other stuff, everything seems fine for them. I told them that I have a bunch of 007guard.com connection in netstat, even showed them this thread. He couldn't help me much, advised to block incoming connections from www.007guard.com with my router, that's about it.... But still I'd like to fix this for good

Give me another HJT scan

still netstat packed with 007guard connections

Well I am truly sorry, but I don't know what else to try. Did you block block incoming connections from www.007guard.com with your router like the tech said to do?
I really am very sorry about this. Just don't know what else to suggest.
Judy

It's ok Judy, I appreciate your effort trying to help me!
No, I didn't block the incoming connection on the router, not sure how to block connections on the router. I just have the DMZ mode enabled there...

Since I don't use a router I have no idea either. Maybe you can check on the manufacture's web page.
Wish I could have been of more help.
Judy

I'd like to inform the forum moderators that I'm now receiving help elsewhere and this thread can now be closed. Thanks for helping, Jholland1964!

Could you post back here with the info on how it was fixed when it is, this would be of help to ME for sure but many others I am certain. I say I am sorry again for not being able to help.
Judy

Thanks for the update.
Judy
