Please run HiJackThis.exe again and click "Scan".
Place checks next to the following entries i have included in the code below and close all browser and other windows except for HijackThis, and click "Fix Checked".

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://my.netzero.net/s/search?r=minisearch
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://my.netzero.net/s/search?r=minisearch
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://my.netzero.net/s/search?r=minisearch

On completion, run HJT again and do a new scan, saving the log and posting it here again.

Does IE respond now?
