Can't scan on Trend Micro Internet Security 2007 and can't install stuff

Hi guys,

My friend introduced me to this place to help me out with my problem.
Quite recently, I am unable to scan using TIS 2007 as it fails after 10 seconds and I can't install anything on my system since it keeps telling me that it can't access windows installer services. My initial concern is that maybe the windows installer maybe corrupted or something so could you help me?

Mate, I ain't no expert but here:

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBA-M) to your Desktop.

Rename it to something random, like doit.exe. This is because some malware will prevent you from installing anti-spyware software using the software name.

* DoubleClick mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install MBA-M.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When MBA-M finishes, Notepad will open with the log. Please save it where you can find it easily. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt.

If you are unable to update MBA-M, go to http://www.gt500.org/malwarebytes/database.jsp and download the latest database, then run it.

As another alternative, clear all your cache, history, prefetch n' stuff.. so also download and reinstall windows installer if possible.. :)
