Hi weepee and welcome to DaniWeb :).

Scan with hijackthis and tick the boxes next to all the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows, and hit the "Fix checked" button.

Hi Crunchie,
Thaks for your post.
Am I correct in undertsanding that these entries are made by Yahoo messenger and its affiliated add onns?
If so, can you please advise why you want me to restore them?
I am also using Microsoft Anti Spyware, and it warned me before these changes were made,
Thanks for you time!
Cheers!

You are correct in your assumption that those entries are added by yahoo, but the Red.Clients entries are related to Red Sheriff
When MS asks if you want to allow the changes, answer Yes.

Dear Crunchie,
Thanks for your help.
I ran hijackthis and fixed the Search bars
Thanks for all your help. I am a fan of yours since I followed a thread where you guided an individual and have described in detail - a step by step procedure to remove malwares.
I was just wondering whetehr my computer was also infected, but thank god I am still safe!
One small question, what harm was the search redirect url causing?
Thanks!
VP

When MS asks if you want to allow the changes, answer Yes.

BTW, I went to http://www.cexx.org/sheriff.htmand saw that it was actually tracking where I visited and how much time I was spending- in short my browsing habits.
That is bad!
Regards,
VP
Thanks Crunchie!

You are very welcome :).
