I have seen some thing about these items and I have tried to remove it with the mentioned steps.
After using about:buster, HSRemove, CWShredder and Ewido, and some other programms I still have popups and redirected internet explorer start page.

I run Sophos anti-virus,
have tried Microsoft AntiSpyware, Adaware and Spysweeper

Does anybody knows the solution?

Here is the Ewido log:

Anybody knows how to solve this?

Thanks for the help.

This thread is a classic persistent adware cleanup: repeated popups, start-page redirects and helper programs that return after removal. After many scans and manual steps reports the problem resolved, and confirmed the final HijackThis scan only had a couple of leftover browser entries that, once removed, completed the cleanup.

Recommended cleanup workflow for the same symptoms:

  1. Isolate the machine (disconnect network) and make an image or full backup before changes.
  2. Reboot to Safe Mode (or Safe Mode with Networking if tool updates are required).
  3. Empty temporary folders and browser caches.
  4. Inspect autorun/startup points and services (System Configuration / an Autoruns-like utility) and remove unknown entries.
  5. Check browser add-ons / helper objects and search-hook registrations; unregister suspicious DLLs and remove corresponding startup links.
  6. Examine Scheduled Tasks and all user profiles for installers that re-create the components.
  7. Verify the hosts file and the system/router DNS settings for unauthorized entries.
  8. Run at least two up-to-date, independent on-demand scanners (including an offline/rescue scan if reappearance continues).
  9. Reset the browser or create a fresh user profile, then change important passwords.
  10. Reboot normally and monitor for reappearance; if items return, suspect a hidden installer (service, task or another profile) and escalate to offline removal or specialist help.

Helpful, low-level commands (placeholders shown; back up registry and files first):

regsvr32 /u "C:\Path\To\Unwanted.dll"
del /f /q %temp%\*.exe
ipconfig /all

Cautions: always export registry keys before deletion, create a restore point or image, and avoid deleting files unless their purpose is known. The sequence that fixed this case was targeted removal of persistent startup hooks plus the final cleanup of leftover browser entries noted by . Long-term prevention: keep the OS, browser and security software current and check other devices on the same network after an infection.

Branko.

After a lot of anti-spyware and cleaning actions it seems to be solved!

Good work. Except for the following two entries, your last HJT log does look clean:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = about:blank
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

Thanks for your reaction. I have removed these two entries and so far, it's looking good.

Branko.

... so far, it's looking good.

And we hope it stays that way for a loooong time... :)
