Hi, my computer recently was infected with some sort of virus. I've read here that others have suffered from the same sort of infection.

Whenever I connect to the Internet, my computer starts trying to send a flood of random emails that seem to fail. I hope they fail. Anyway, this flood inclues flooding my desktop with failure notices and, if let go, bogs down my system, making it unusable.

I have downloaded and ran other programs suggested to fix this, but it still haunts the nooks and crannies of my computer, lurking, waiting for me to foolishly initiate another Internet connection.

I have ran HJT, but have no idea what to do.

I posted previously but in my haste I posted in the wrong forum. My post was then moved here but It has stimulated no feedback. My apologies for my hurried plea for help. I hope I have now clearified my position and I hope someone here will take the time to help me. It will be greatly appreciated.

To make sure my posts don't both take up somebody's valuable time, I won't repost my HJT log here. Here is a link to my original post: http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/showthread.php?t=52436&highlight=proxy+bombardment
