My problem is similar to erniestl's as found here.
http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/printthread44517.html

I get this message with the problem every so often:
EventType : BEX P1 : drwtsn32.exe P2 : 5.1.2600.0 P3 : 3b7d84a2
P4 : dbghelp.dll P5 : 5.1.2600.2180 P6 : 4110969a P7 : 0001295d
P8 : c0000409 P9 : 00000000

I'm always in IE and it's always when a new window opens. It doesn't matter if I hit ctrl-n or if I've clicked on a link that opens a new IE window; it crashes IE, meaning it either shuts down all IE windows or locks up IE. If IE is locked up, I have to hit ctrl-alt-delete and "end process" on drwatson.exe.

I also sometimes get a message relating to the Google Toolbar. Apologies but I don't know exactly what it says.

This is the hijack log after IE has crashed and I've restarted it:

Can anyone help me fix this problem? Thanks to all who can help!

Download the Hoster.
Run it and press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program.
Note that if you have a custom host file, this will remove it. You can edit the host file with this program too.

==

Try running IEFIX.htm which will repair IE and run a System File Check.
