You got some junk on your computer there! Put on there by other people or bots more likely. Try running:

Ad-aware 6.0
www.lavasoft.nu
and get the latest reference file to check the latest ad-ware

Spybot Search and Destroy
http://www.safer-networking.org/
To get rid of spyware

Ad-ware is stuff put there by ads that pop-up, while browsing the internet. And spyware is illegal substances that are put there by illegal activity sites.
Otherwise said, people are able to search on your computer.

Yzk is right- it appears to be a new worm or malware from what I've read. Do the Ad Aware/SpyBot checks, and also a full anti-virus scan. Make sure you are using the latest virus definitions when you do.

The beast appears to use varying filenames, so manual removal can tough; there are some removal suggestions in the following thread:

http://www.computing.net/security/wwwboard/forum/11733.html

I'm moving this to the Security forum. Read through some of the threads there for instructions on using the above-mentioned removal utilities. If they don't solve the problem, run HijackThis but don't have it fix anything, just post the contents of the log file it generates so that we can see exactly what wrong.

okay....... I'm goin to post it here

You have a few questionable items there which, depending on your particular system, may or may not be problematic. These are a few of them:

- ptsnoop.exe - if you use a dial-up modem this could be legit. If not, it indicates a virus/trojan

- C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\HE GOLDEN ERAT.EXE - what the heck is that??

- C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WMIEXE.EXE - this file can become infected by certain virii

Have you done what I suggested concerning the virus and spyware scans? If not, you need to do that now.

0

Okay, I did the Ad-aware and the Spybot Search and Destroy, and I read you're suggestion on computing.net.....I read their suggestions and I couldn't find it. Therefore, it is under another filename, but I'm not sure where to start looking for it.

0

OK, gotta run now now but:

Did you do a full virus scan, and do have any idea what the "HE GOLDEN ERAT.EXE" program is? I couldn't find anything on it..

0

I almost forgot......On the scanning results on Ad-aware, do I delete
1. Tracking cookies
2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE :Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\ "he Golden EraT"
3. c:\Windows\System\he golden erat.exe
do I delete those three? And when I click on one of the Tracking Cookie file, on the Description it would say, "This cookie is known to collect information that may be used either for targeted advertising, or tracking users across a particular website, such as page views or ad click-thrus". So do I also delete whenever this description says?

I hope I made sense.

I also don't know what it is.

0

cookies can always be deleted, and it's a good idea to do so.
I'd get rid of that "golden era" beast too if you don't know what it is- it just looks suspicious.

0

Okay... it was 29 but since I got rid of it, I got rid of 26. Do you think it got rid of the "actulice" problem?

0

it was 29 but since I got rid of it, I got rid of 26.

Huh? 29/26 whats?

Sorry- it's been a busy day here; apologize if I missed something...

:?:

0

the results from Ad-aware, it scanned 29 files and once i deleted mostly all of it because it said Tracking Cookies, i deleted 26 files. Make sense??

0

It's okay. By the way, from the suggestions of yourself and Yzk, the "actulice" message doesn't appear anymore. Thank you.

P.S
I know I may come back with another computer problem soon. Thanx again

0

how does it look now.....?
