Hey, for about 2 months now my computer has been suffering from freakin popups which started by Win Anti Virus....then as time went by i got Drive Cleaner popups...and the thing is with these damn popups is that right when you X one out..it'll prompt another one, and if it doesn't do that it will take the current page i am browsing and make resize the window to about 4inches x 6inches and replace the page with another popup advertisment. Along with that my IE shortcuts don't work...when i click them they look like they are going to load and nothing happens, sometimes if I'm lucky if i click the icon real fast it might work.

Here my Hijack This Log:

have you run a malware/antivirus scan?Is your windows version up to date?A quick fix may be downloading firefox to browse as most viruses etc target the weaknesses in IE.IE 7 is also an option if you don't feel comfortable switching browsers.

Based on what you've told me I'm 75% sure this is some form of malware

Let me know how it goes

0

yea I dont really want to find an alternative to slide past the problem, I just want to get it OUT of my computer hehe, if worse comes to worse I guess I'll have to reformat

0

lol i had nortan but i think my suscription ended and i don't feel like wasting money on another one

0

I don't blame you, norton is a virus in itself.I've heard very good things about panda but havn't tried them yet. They've recently teamed up with tesco to give tesco anti-virus for about 15 pounds sterling

0

O, and i forgot to say that I'v tryed adaware to clean up like i usually do but when i scan it crashes my computer...i looked up the problem and other people are having same deal.

0

nope...maybe that would work, but in the past i'v seen adaware take off allot of shit but it really never takes off the main stuff thats bothering you...such as the malaware
