2 Minutes Till Midnight by Iron Maiden

Kill for gain or shoot to maim?
But we don't need a reason
The Golden Goose is on the loose
And never out of season.
Blackened pride still burns inside
This shell of bloody treason
Here's my gun for a barrel of fun
For the love of living death.

The killer's breed or the Demon's seed,
The glamour, the fortune, the pain,
Go to war again, blood is freedom's stain,
Don't you pray for my soul anymore.

2 minutes to midnight,
The hands that threaten doom.
2 minutes to midnight,
To kill the unborn in the womb.

The blind men shout "let the creatures out--
we'll show the unbelievers",
The napalm screams of human flames
On a primetime Nielsen feast...yeah!
As the reasons for the carnage cut their meat
and lick the gravy,
We oil the jaws of the war machine
and feed it with our babies.

The killer's breed or the Demon's seed,
The glamour, the fortune, the pain,
Go to war again, blood is freedom's stain,
Don't you pray for my soul anymore.

2 minutes to midnight,
The hands that threaten doom.
2 minutes to midnight,
To kill the unborn in the womb.

The body bags and little rags of children torn in two,
And the jellied …

These are really cool links -- I love this kind of stuff. :cheesy: I would like to visit these decrepid sites in person and look around.

The below link you provided

http://sbno.illicitohio.com/menu.html

contained links to Fantasy Farm and Americana which are located just outside Cincinnati (my hometown); I used to go there as a kid sometimes-- really cheesey amusement park, cheap rides, etc, unlike the high-end amusement parks in Cincinnati like "Kings Island."

It's neat to see this stuff and how it is today.

In 1989 I went to a summer Painting program at the University of the Art Institute of Chicago for a month I met a girl there who lived in Chicago-- she took me to one of the coolest places I have ever seen: a 1920's-era movie theater that closed in the 40's and it was like time stopped inside. We had to climb a fire-escape to the 3rd floor and break inside: It was amazing to say the least. The offices of the theater were destroyed, papers everywhere, furniture tipped over, dust, garbage (I think the homeless lived in there). We went downstairs to the theater-- red carpet, stained-glass, and chandeliers, velvet wallpaper, gold-painted collums-- fancy, but... every thing was broken, destoyed, burned! It was such an eerie place. Years of vandals and racoons, winos, and God knows what else inside this old, classical building. It was like the set for a Horror movie. It was kind of …

Last year my girfriend's Mother was beginning genealogical research into their family history. She was fairly new to the Internet and was advised to start by searching via Google for keywords; she used Google and could not "find what she was looking for!"; this she concluded was due to the fact that the "person at Google" who was supposed to answer her questions about Spain and Cuba family-lineage, etc, was actually a racist against Hispanics and was purposely not answering her correctly purposely  -- she was not joking. My girlfriend tried to explain to no avail that there was no one on the other end actually looking up answers but it was all automated. Her Mother never believed her. :-|:cheesy::cheesy:

I have two questions regarding Tkinter GUIs:

  1. I have three buttons in a GUI; at times it seems that the buttons "stick". By this I mean when the mouse is clicked on one it may activate or it may not. They all work correctly in regards to there function(s) but it sometimes takes 2-3 clicks to actually get it to fully respond; I figure that this may have to do with my system, memory resources, or something of that nature. The way in which they tend to not resond sometimes is completely random it seems. Has anyone had this issue before and if so, is their a technique to fix this via code optimization?
  2. Is there a way to change the color\theme of the border of a frame such as the silver border in the GUI pictured below? This is just a small detail but I would like to be able to have this choice if possible for graphic design reasons. I believe I have read that the color\theme of such a GUI element is system dependent, in this case, Windows XP (the same silver color\theme as my system) Is this indeed true that Tkinter does not allow adjustment of said GUI elements?
