> No employer is going to hire you just because you say you have
> "good experience" backed up with no certifications.
Thats an ass backward way of saying things. You need certifications only when you don't have enough experience to cover your back and that too, to fool employers who think certification is more important.

If you must know, experience beats 'just certification' hands down. Of course, if you have a piece of paper with your experience, it changes the scenario.

I never said certifications beat experience. I'm just saying that whatever the situation, it's still good to be certified.

For example, I'm a Nursing Assistant (NA), and I have the experience needed to complete a NA's tasks, but I'm not a CNA - certified [yet]. The hospital will hire me, but a nursing home will not -- just because I don't have my certification.
I know that's a little different than the computer world, but I think that certifications are always good to have behind you.

I'm confused. Anyone can just create a MySpace account and send mass messages?

Only if you are on their friends list. That's why friend list bots were so popular.

Yeah, but you don't have to be on a person's friends list to send them messages. I get spam from all kinds of people that I've never added before.

hah.. icic.. I thought Christians were against birth control :)

Only certain denominations. And that doesn't mean they don't just use it anyway.

Exactly.
Most married couples I know that go to my church use birth control. I don't think the Bible says anything against it.

I'll take this one Christina.

My friend, I think I know what you need in your life.
Our plan should be to find a nice, beutiful, pettit christian girl for you.
Then your life will have meaning and will not be without purpose.
C'mon, what ye say?. ;)

Hehe... good thinking Aia!

Well, personally I think you are rushing into this dream..

Eh... it's not like I'm getting married tomorrow. ;)

As for your other dreams.. how do you know that complications won't arise and force you to discontinue them.. What if Caleb needs to relocate somewhere for his job.. or needs you do assist him rather than getting your own job.. or you become pregnant, and must care for the baby instead of continuing with college.. There are many complications which people do not always forsee..

1. I'll go wherever he goes.
2. We'll assist each other.
3. Birth control. ;o)

No. It isn't faith. I would not continue doing what I am doing if I didn't have to. No one gave me a choice to be born or not.. I have no faith.. The only reason I do anything is simply because I want to. I know life is purposeless and it is pointless for me to do anything. There would be no difference if I killed myself or lived my life out the way I wanted.. And since I'm not a psycho, wussy, suicidal person.. I choose to create my own purpose for life, and just live for the hell of it.

No life is pointless nor is any life purposeless.
That's why people have abortions, they don't care about the choices they make for lives that don't have the ability to tell them whether or not they want to live or die.
I think every life has a purpose.

christina>you 820 Posting Sage Featured Poster

What if it's a mistake?

It's not. See, because there's this little thing we [Christians] call prayer. ;o)

Besides, did you see what I wrote in my previous post? Are you really ready to forfeit your dreams and ambitions for your family? I'm not..

Of course I'm not going to give up my dreams... I'm still going to go to college and become a Nurse Practitioner and get my MSN. I'm still going to be with my family, marriage just adds more people to it. And getting married happens to be one of my dreams. :)

> Actually, atheism is the lack of faith. There is a difference.
Ha, ha. and ha.
It may be lack of faith in diviny intervention, but
certanly not in conviction.
Beside most of your acts are in faith. By faith you get up out of your bed every morning, because you believe you can. By faith you go to school because you believe that you'll get the result you hope for. Should I continue?.

> You don't live by it either.. explain what you mean by this.
I shall explain what I mean by. Everytime that you hear one of those 20 Christians you make sure that your opinion about your conviction is heard. You breath atheism at the first mention of God, or Divine Intervention.
I'll say you live the Gospel of "there's nothing after death", the same way we live our hope of
"something more".

I agree with all of this.

No, I do those things because I have to. No one gave me the choice to live or not. I am simply trying to make the best of the short life that I am forced to live.

But you do it by faith, right? Faith is just simply believing something. Like believing you'll make an A on a test because you study for it. - And what Aia said.

They know that they are right, and the couldn't care less who believes them. I am a bit different, because …

Check every little piece of hardware in your computer.
I bet you some it would say "Made in China".

Almost everything is made from China. But I just don't like that form of government.

Well there are more than you think out there.
Atheism is as much a religion as any other.
Don't believe me?. Think about this:
~ You got to have faith on it.
~ You have to live by it.
Sounds familiar?.

I know, but most people would disagree with your statement.
Especially atheists because a lot of them become atheist just for the simple fact that they don't like religion.

christina>you 820 Posting Sage Featured Poster

Here's another joke of the day that I thought was pretty funny. :)

A thief stuck a pistol in a man's ribs and said, "Give me your money."

The gentleman, shocked by the sudden attack, said "You cannot do this, I'm a United States Congressman!"

The thief said, "In that case, give me my money!"

Lol.
An atheist missionary, that's something you don't hear about every day.

>> Why should it?
I dunno. I guess it's just because the thought of marrage for me at this time is nearly as far removed from me as something that's miles away.

Maybe cause it would scare me.

I see.
Well maybe your opinion will change when you find someone that you're serious about.

>> That way you can spend more time here.
I dunno. There are some people on the forum who appear to be dating and spend quite a while here ... Maybe ...

I'm proof. :)
